TCP/IP Stack Support

NFS Maestro for Microsoft TCP/IP provides applications and utilities for users of the Microsoft VxD stack for Windows for Workgroups. In addition, NFS Maestro coexists with other network operating system clients, such as Novell NetWare, Microsoft LAN Manager, and Banyan Vines. All network topologies supported by Microsoft TCP/IP can be used. In a multi-protocol environment, users may have files open on both NFS servers and a second network operating system at the same time.

NFS Client

Hummingbird's NFS Maestro is a 32-bit client application providing high performance network file and print sharing capabilities. With NFS Maestro, resources can be transparently shared, as if they are local, across a range of heterogeneous host environments directly from the familiar PC desktop.

Network Applications and Utilities

In addition to NFS technology, an extensive selection of Windows client and server applications are provided, including: terminal emulation applications such as Telnet and TN3270; graphical FTP servers for drag-and-drop file transfer; Internet access tools, such as Email, News Reader and Gopher; print services and other network functions. Applications can be launched using LaunchPad, Hummingbird's unique user programmable menuing facility, and a fully functional BASIC language Workbench is included for writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
